ZeroRegio international Workshop 2007
on “Demonstration of fuel-cell vehicles and related hydrogen infrastructure” to be held on 6th of November in a parallel session at World Hydrogen Technologies Convention 2007 (WHTC 2007).
Aim: Communication and learning from demonstrations world wide focussing on fuel-cell cars and hydrogen refuelling systems.
Several projects around the world are demonstrating fuel-cell hydrogen vehicles and related infrastructure towards the common goal of developing zero emission road transport systems. In the European project ZERO REGIO hydrogen infrastructure and fuel-cell cars (DaimlerChrysler and Fiat) are demonstrated under real life conditions in Mantova City, Italy and Frankfurt, Germany. Both cities have multi-energy public service stations selling hydrogen along with other motor fuels. In Germany by-product hydrogen from a chemical plant is used where as in Italy an on-site hydrogen production facility is constructed..
The workshop during WHTC 2007 provides an ideal opportunity for people engaged in similar demonstration activities around the world to meet, exchange experience, learn from each other and enhance networking required for a quicker development and market penetration of the new technology.
The ZERO REGIO project team invites presentations on the following subjects related to demonstration activities:
- FC-Vehicle demonstration and operational experience
- Experience with H2-Infrastructure in operation
- Experience with approval formalities for infrastructure
- FC-Car registration and insurance issues
- Socio-economic aspects- public outreach
- Assessment methods for demonstrations
- Future larger demonstrations – Needs and possibilities
